    Hi

Just received my M14x R2 and very happy so far - was not even delayed due to the snow

So sitting here playing on it, and notice i have no Turbo boost pop up -

I had an i7 XPS a year ago and it had a pop up that showed me when the boost was been used, so was expecting the same on this

Have they removed this pop up - did drive me nuts had to be said, or is it not installed or something

    Thanks in advance

    -H

I haven't had any pop ups telling me of turbo boost. That would drive me batsh*t crazy lol.

Wasn't this "popup" some kind of sidebar app?

I had this pop up and it drove me insane. Would tab me out of games constantly. Manually disabled it at startup.

I've never seen that kind of popup, neither on my M14x R1 nor R2, so I guess it doesn't come pre-installed on M14x machines.

Thankfully we do not need any kind of applets to run and show us the boost on the processor when required.

However, if you still have an itch on using or having monitored the 'boost' technology for the CPU, you can use the Intel Turbo Boost Monitor, which will just be sitting on one of your side screen and show you when the 'turbo boost' kicks up.

There is an intel turbo boost monitor that you can use to make sure it works fine.

    Here it is.
