    Hey guys,

Just got my M14x yesterday and trying to get everything squared around and updated. Anyways I went to SWtOR.com to update my system information, because this game is going to kick and I would like to get in the beta, but it only sees the intel graphics card.

I have tried a few different things such as disabling the intel card, starting in safe mode, selecting the gt555m as my "always on" graphics card, and none of this works.

I was wondering if anyone was having similar issues to this and found a work around. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys,

    Ah! The Whitelisting problem again!

You need to whitelist the game in nVidia Control Panel via right click on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel, then navigate to Manage 3D Setting under 3D setting then Program Setting, here is where you can add the game to run the nVidia instead of the iGP HD 3000.

Note: You might need to do this for Every game you play.

it's not a game though, it is a system scan that is run through your browser by java, here is a link to their main page, Systems Requirements Lab, creator of Instant Expert Analysis

I have whitelisted games so I know what you are talking about, just wanted to clarify that this isn't in fact a game, but a scan of your computer that gets information on your CPU, Memory, Video Card, etc.

Ah, okay, I also have the problem when on YouGamer.com as well, when it scan the computer for hardware config, and the result was unknown, it said that the hardware on M14x is either too new or too old, and the integrating of graphic on a CPU is rare. So how about contact/report the software dev, because it might be more useful to them then in here.

Nothing you can do. The scanner program Bioware/EA is using is not Optimus-aware. nVidia has made some inroads in getting developer awareness, but it's still not enough for little utilities, similar to what Bioware/EA is using for their SWOTOR beta scanner.

    what about whitelisting javaw.exe?

Run the scanner, check under task manager, and see what java .exe. its running. This is what you had to do for Minecraft as well.

Whitelist your browser? Since you run the utility from it?
