    Hello people,

Recently I got this annoying problem.
My trackpad and "grill" LEDs aren't working properly. Most of the time they aren't lighting up, but when I press or tap on a specific spot on the laptop they sometimes light up (check youtube video). It's a M14xR1 by the way.
I'm thinking this is a hardware problem, maybe a loose connection. I don't want to open up my laptop if I don't have to, but if it's the only way then I will do it.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

Probably a wiring issue. Are you still under warranty? Give Dellienware a ring

    Thanks for the info.
According to the Dell site, my one year-long "Next Business Day" warranty ended about 3 month ago.
Though I think we get a warranty of at least two years in The Netherlands. I am not so sure about this subject...

I have just sent an e-mail to the Twitter account.

If I'm not mistaken the connection for those leds is right beneath the palmrest. A lose wire should be easy to check and fix, here's a nice 1080p teardown guide you can use.
