The reason I got rid of my m15x was a lot of reasons but the track pad was so bad. The texture was the worse. I love a smooth track pad and just wondering if anyone could take a pic of the track pad or tell me the texture. By smooth I mean no ridges by the way. Also is it more responsive than the m15x.

I really love m14x's trackpad. Dont know what others feel but its one of the best I've seen in Windows PCs. It's smooth and keys are really responsive.

It's a great trackpad and the keyboard is nice too.

I'd give both the keyboard and touchpad 10/10.

    Best I've ever used.

The M14x's touchpad is smooth and lightly textured, but the mouse keys are sort of soft, so you won't get a 'click' feel from them.

The M14x keyboard and touchpad are both fantastic. The touchpad is smooth and very responsive. :)

Having owned the m15x in the past I can say that was a horrible touchpad. The m14x has your standard day touchpad. Its miles ahead of the m15x and compares to other smooth touchpads on the market. You wont be disappointed in it at all. Touchpad is smooth with above average feedback when using it.

Huh? I hate my touchpad. What are your settings? I've played around with the Synaptic TouchPad V7.5 software and I can't seem to get it right. The two finger scrolling jumps all over the place and sometimes I drag my fingers across the pad and the cursor doesn't move. What am I doing wrong?

Did you download the latest synaptic driver from synaptic's website? And I would enable 'enhance pointer precision' for faster mouse movements. You can change your scrolling speeds from options too. So there is nothing wrong with the trackpad really it is really smooth and best of my previous encounters.
