    Hi everyone,

I just got my M14x and noticed that my Windows aero was not being smooth for things like minimization/un-minimization, opening folders or browsers, etc. After some unsuccessful googling, I was able to figure out the problem by myself with some poking around - in the Intel graphics control panel, the refresh rate was set to 40 Hz instead of 60 Hz. Changing to 60 Hz made everything smooth, just as expected. :) This seems like the kind of problem that could be difficult to figure out, so I thought I'd post this to let others know, in case they're having the same difficulty.

One of the first things I did when I got it was poke around the settings and I noticed the 40hz refresh and changed it to 60 so I never experienced this problem. Interesting though. Why's 40 even an option anyway?

This was mentioned and a solution was already found about a month ago but I can't find the thread..... Weird

Anyways, use the latest Intel graphics driver from Intel site and it will fix the refresh rate issue. Cause with the Dell drivers, it will automatically go back to 40 once you plug in the AC adapter and then remove it.
