Looking around the m14x seems to be the best bang for your buck the only other computer I'm considering is this MSI laptop

    Amazon.com: MSI G Series GE60 0ND-042US 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black/Red): Computers & Accessories

Which honestly looks like a better deal but I can't find any reviews on the computer so I'm worried about the build quality.

Do you have any suggestions, or things I need to be concerned about if I get an m14x? Thank you in advance for any advice. (I know you've probably seen a million of these threads)

I just recently bought a M14x (waiting for it to arrive), and I did look at the MSI computers and the build quality on them just does not seem that well or as great as an alienware.

here is a link to the same model on that MSI laptop you mentioned, but with different specs.

I have had my m14x for about a year now, and it was a great purchase. My CD drive broke because another CD got stuck in it well my laptop was in my bag. I called in on Monday, and by Wednesday , a technician was at my house to repair it. Great service and a great product.

Look em up online, great computers, you get more "bang" for your buck, but some people say the quality isn't as good...but I would certainly prefer a Sager over MSI...and I would definitely choose the Sager 15 inch (there are a couple models) over the M14x....I would recommend the NP9150

    This.

I'm all for freedom of opinion, but the guy is looking for feedback about M14x's not other brands.

The M14x is the most portable high performance laptop currently available. Simple as that. Since the M11x has been discontinued the M14x is the portable Alienware solution, it's fantastic.

This is NBR. You have lots of posters who have had many different types of Notebooks. Also you have some folks that either work for or are endorsed by different brand lines. Unfortunately you have to get used to the "Cross Brand" adverts, even from other forum members, in the different sub-forums. Its not uncommon at all to see Sager or Clevo Lovers in here pushing the brands. Just remember you get what you pay for.

I've had the m14xR1 and now the m14xr2. They are great notebooks. Remember notebooks are a lot like purchasing cars. Their is always going to be someone faster than you. Speed = Money. The more money you can spend the faster you can get.

Purchasing notebooks boils down to BUDGET / QUALITY / SPEED / SIZE

You could probably get more SPEED out of a CLEVO or SAGER but you might sacrifice QUALITY to do so.

    Just my opinion. Good Luck!

If you are thinking to buy an m14x :) HAHA If i where you I would do it. The m14x has become faster and cheaper to! An msi.. Well I cannot say that they are bad, because they have almost the same specs. But the build quality MUST be a minor compaired with an alienware. Well good luck with picking one :)

Point is that you hang around an Alienware forum for what seems to be the sole purpose of bashing Alienware. That's called trolling.

I haven't been bashing Alienware...if your feelings are hurt, you should toughen up a bit, maybe not hang around on the internet so much

I don't have much bad to say about this computer...I stated that I was shocked that apple actually came out with a good computer that had better specs than my M14x....which is surprising..I never said " OH this thing is a piece of crap"....there is a difference between claiming the M14x is a pile of junk...which I have never said...and suggesting someone another great computer.

Guys this is the Alienware section where we discuss Alienware laptops.

If you want to get a comparison between models, post here:
    What Notebook Should I Buy?
and make sure you read the stickies first.

If you're set on the Alienware brand but don't know which configuration fits your needs, post in the pre-configuration sticky where i'm sure our friends here can give you the best advises.
