wow! is not the right way to ask the question :D

    the right question would be:
"I show you a list of processes that are running in the background on my laptop, which of them i can close?"

and maybe we can help :D but not knowing what is running on your laptop, well is hard to know and help you

many of the processes running on windows are started when the computer is turned on, something that might help identify those processes is the Windows Process Manager

apps such as CCleaner and Glary Utilities can also help you

    Good luck!

On the stock setup, after having stopped many processes and services on my M11x, I remember after having booted up, I'd have 79 give or take running processes in Task Manager. I gave up and installed vanilla Windows 7, rather than factory resetting to the Alienware bloat again. Now I have 19 processes after booting up. Same software installed as before.

Mind you, it functioned fine even with that many processes, and with 2GB RAM at the time.

The Mcafee is having quite a number of processes in background. So annoying, so much so I uninstalled it.

With 4gb ram, I always have 47-50% of my ram used, even when idling, which is about 1.9 gb of ram!

    I have 101 processes with mcafee =/
