Hey everyone, I just ordered my M14X, with the 2.0ghz i7, 4gb of 1600mhz DDR3 RAM, and the 3gb GT555M nVidia graphics card, and was wondering if anyone with the same build has played EVE Online with it, and how well did it do? Thanks in advance!

I'm curious to know about this as well
-
My screensize is 1600x900.
A 5 minute test of two different setting gave me this.
Captains Quarters:
Everything on high, I have to use texture quality on medium otherwise I get waird graphics/color on the clothes.
30-35fps
Low to medium settings (some settings only have high and low) and no AA.
50 fps
Outside Dodixie station:
Everything on high.
60 fps
Low to medium settings and no AA.
60 fps
As for fleets, I have not checked the fps there, but I don't note anythings out of the ordinary. It's the same same lag, oh forgot brackets on and well. If I remember correct I have only been with fleets where local count was somewhere around 500 max. -
Im still curious why people still order it with 3gig memory on the GPU when it makes no difference? :/
Heck - even the ram needs to be "OC" to stock. -
Because they think it makes a difference :/
It's a bit of a jerk move on Dell's part. -
Everyone knows that more cores, more GBs, more SSDs, more Wifis, more HDs, more res, more DPI, more lolz is better.

I got the the 3gb card, cause i figured it wouldnt hurt, and i got a deal, so it wasnt that much more than the 1.5gb.
@ erephus - Thanks for the info. It doesnt seem to do to bad then with EVE. 60fps in EVE is pretty good. Is your system stock or "OC"? -
It is stock settings.
But I have updated the NVIDIA drivers, v275.33.
Oh... I guess when the hits the fan in Deklein we will find out about the fleet performance... -
It is not a newly released game, it will run alright.
-
haha... your in Deklein? me too! Im kinda curious how the lappy will handle fleet ops. -
I just received my laptop yesterday!
I will be playing eve tonight hopefully and will post on how it runs.
I'm starting a new character tho so wont be doing any fleet ops anytime soon.
