    Hello good people.

I have the m14x, absolutely love it. I am wondering what are my options for getting the best sound of it. I have the realtek hd 5.1 card I am pretty sure. Anyways I have a nice set of bose headphones that I usually use. However, I notice that when I use the dell audio software and try to do anything with the maxbass feature it sounds really poopy on headphones or on speakers.

Another thing is that I am wondering how you get 5.1 out of it. Is that just through the hdmi out? Cause I don't know if 5.1 sound can be output through those 3.5 mm stereo outs. Instruct me?

Any other ideas would be appreciated. Like what kind of sound setups are you fine people using?

All three 1/8 phono plugs can output sound...

I use Logitech z623 when I want to make noise, and Shure se215's when I want to hear absolutely NOTHING else.

Both the HDMI and miniDP output sound, but they function through the NVIDIA audio driver that's installed with your graphics drivers.
