I have the m14x with a 750gb hhd and 64gb msata ssd. they both show up as seperate drives on my computer which I assume means that it's not set up for caching and I could get more speed out if setting it up as a RAID 0. But when trying to do this on intel rapid storage tech pgm it warns of all data being deleted, I don't care about the data on the SSD drive but is there are way to avoid deleting all on the main drive?

It will delete the mSata only.

ok, I followed the instructions from the intel rapid storage tech on trying to set-up a RAID 0 with a 750 HDD and a 64 GB msata SSD (for caching). it started doing it's thing and now it will not boot anymore. it wants to boot from UEFI but can not find media file. when turning off boot from UEFI I can choose the small SSD drive but it does not have a boot drive on it. it can not find the HDD no matter how may settings a change in the boot section on the BIOS.
I can log into conf utility of intel rapid storage and then it lists the HDD with all specs and says "unkown disk" while the SSD is listed as non-RAID disk. the only available option on this menu is reset disk to non-raid with warning that it will loose all data on the disk! Any suggestions?!?

I believe by setting both hard drive to RAID 0 will require both drive to be formatted. Thats why when u boot now, it'll say no media file / boot drive. Because there isnt any OS or data inside the hard drive anymore since you already raided both hard drive. Try insert any bootable OS or windows installation CD to find how much data left inside the hard drive.
