Well I used to own a m15x and I'm pretty sure the speakers were at the front were the light up grills are and the quality were really good I thought.

I just saw a video review of the m14x and I see that the speaker location is now at the top of the keyboard.. so I was wondering what the quality of them are like compared to m15x?

Seems kinda weird that they moved the position of them because I like playing music with the lid closed.

Also just another quick question.. did they get rid of the 'stealth mode'?

    Thanks in advance. :)

Stealth mode is technicly gone, but not hard to recreate. Now youve got switchabler graphics, which saves a ton of batterty. What I do is in Windows power options, underclock the CPU to 1.5ghz which gives me and 6.5 hours of use (HDD, no SSD). Dont know about the m15x, but the m14x has klispch speakers and theyre probably the best speakers Ive ever heard

+1 about the speaker quality. I haven't owned a m15x but the speakers on the m14x are the fullest sound I've heard on a laptop ever. It makes my speakers on my G73 sound like garbage.

Speakers on this system are great. They're loud and the sub woofer gives amazing bass. Amazing for a 14 inch laptop.

I had both m14x and m15x for a month and speakers sound much deeper and crisp on the m14x. I found the volume on the m15x was louder but only slightly.

I also never own a M15x too, but my friend does, and he still using it now, I also do a side to side (one at a time only) comparison, the M14x's speaker sound really much better than my friend's, especially when using the enhancement with SoundBlaster software.

And TBH, this laptop's speaker sound quality so far is the best I ever hear from a laptop, as It gave a deep (music) and crisp (voice/video chat).
