What exactly is this? Is it more actual hardware or just software? And what's it do?

i think its a software.. usually those x-fi features only available for creative soundcards.. like the extreme fatality i had on my desktop.. but this i think it's a software that are available for any soundcard..

it enhance sounds.. the crystalizer is a combination boost of bass and treble.... the x-fi 3d is a surround sound type that should give 3D experience.. thou some would prefer not to on them.. they do give a sudden feel that your speaker and soundcard got better.. works better with external speaker
