    Soft touch coating - coming off within a month and a half?

    How is the soft touch coating holding up on your machines? Mine is coming off around the edge of the palm rest, and it's tremendously disappointing. I expected that this might happen after a year or more, but this seems pretty shoddy to me. I baby this thing, and I have no idea how this could be happening so quickly.

    How's everyone else's? Is there anything that I can do about this?

    Not a fan of soft touch on the palm rest at all. Having said that After 3 years of 6 days a week heavy use my M11x R2's soft touch finish held up beautifully. While it was exterior body panels only it was bagged dozens of times every single day. It's use on the new line was a bad design choice IMO - textured plastics would have been a much better way to go from a durability and ascetics standpoint. I hate having to clean the hand/fingerprints. Every. Single. Day.

    It's acutally peeling or it doesn't have the same kind of texture as before?

    Mine is a day old and I can already tell it's going to need regular cleaning with a mild soap to prevent it from forming a sheen to it as it absorbs oil and dirt from my hands.
