Hey Guys i have been the proud owner of Alienware M14xR1 from last 18 months. I am bit concerned abouth the temps of both GPU and CPU going above 80 c after playing crysis 3 and darksiders 2. Should I be worrried. I am using a crappy cooler with body elevated for proper air passing. Never had these temps before.. Any solutions or sugesstions

How were your temps before? I own a M14x R2 with a for about 6 months now, temps for me after those games you name are about 80-90° (CPU w/turbo boost on - i7 3610QM) and about 65-68° for GPU (650m 2Gb). I think those temps are normal, but I would recommend you to look for a repasting as a prevention for overheating.

CPU temps of 90's after playing Crysis are nothing to be too alarmed about... It is a monster game after all...
However if your GPU is reaching temps of 80's or Plus... BIIIG Red Flag...

Try to make sure your fans are clean and dust free...
Try gaming in a nicely ventilated area.
Plastic Cooling stations < Metal Cooling Stations (that's just my experience and well... physics back me up too. Lol :D)
Most importantly... If you're O/C... STOP... or at least make sure you decrease the clock speeds...
If your unit has TURBO BOOST try disabling it to decrease the CPU heat. Remember the M14x uses a single vent to dissipate both GPU and CPU temps (you may need a custom BIOS to do this)
Like Adriano mentioned, repasting is an option too... However get somebody that knows what they're doing... I've seen quite too many cases of issues b/c of crappy pasting jobs.

Can i like use vaccum cleaner to low out dust by holdin the fan with something so that it does not rotate. then i guess no static electricity wl be produced and it will be safe. Help out

This happened to me too and fan started being on even when browsing, and cleaning the computer inside out as well as repaste didn't do anything. If you find a solution please tell me, good luck.
