I'm still on BIOS A05 and I was wondering if there were any benefits to be had by updating? Last I read, the new ones didn't help much...

Do not update. I also heard performance inefficiencies that occurred with the new BIOS. Everyone I know seems to run just fine on the older BIOS's, I ran on BIOS A03 till January, before going to A05. Never had an issue with A03, which is outdated

Don't update, the newer bios's are just downclocking the sata 3 port to sata 2 speeds for more stability. I'm running an ssd on ao5 and its running full sata 3 speeds no glitches. If your computer is running fine, dont change it.

No dont update because what the A07 do is to limit the SATA speed to SATA 2 only and what A08 do is to update those with the GF116 GT555M who's been having problem like hardware not found when they trying to install a new driver. So it is pretty much has no reason why you should update BIOS, and another is that If it doesnt broke, Dont fix it!

That's been my thinking, thanks for confirming :D

I was annoyed with A03 due to the over-active fan but A05 fixed that and that was really my only problem with the BIOS, ever. So it will stay on A05 :)
