    Hi guys,

This might sound very silly but I think I truly need you guys' opinions because I don't want to waste my money on the wrong product. So basically we know that Alienware 14 is the new model and Dell no longer selling Alienware m14x. I found a very good deal online selling "Dell new outlet" Alienware m14xR2 for just around 800$ with core i5, 1gb gt 650 6gb ram and 500gb hard drive. I also have the money for the new Alienware 14. The only thing that hold me back with Alienware 14 now is the heat issue since the new CPU haswell is supposed to run very hot. I remember the time when Dell discontinued Alienware m11x and I was sad for few months because I couldn't buy any new 11'' anymore. So my question now is that is it worth it to buy the Alienware m14xR2 with good deal or I should just go ahead and buy Alienware 14. I'm just scared that one day people will laugh at me and say: "Hey, I'm sorry that you couldn't buy Alienware m14xR2 because it is way better than Alienware 14 in term of stability etc...and they no longer make it for you blablabla".

I need to make this decision quick because the deal is running out quick

    Sincerely

    Tuan

I'd go for the 14 with a 765M as, from what I've heard, the M14x also suffers from temperature problems. Neither machine is perfect.

    Thank you for your responses,

If the M14x also has the heat issue, I might be just better off buying Alienware 14 because it is newer technology anyway

    Hi tran,
There is a discount deal going for 14, so be sure to check it out. I personally prefer AW14 over M14xr2. Wish you the best with your purchase.

I would also say go for the 14. I haven't really had any problems with the CPU running too hot so I can't really advise you about that, but Dell is much more likely to fix any problems on the 14 since it just came out. Worst case scenario, you hate the 14 and send it back. There WILL be other deals on the m14x

i went back and forth between these two for almost 3 weeks. canceled many orders because id change my mind lol. In the end I went with the Alienware 14. The screen is awesome, and the keys feel great.

The AW14 has a 30 day money back guarantee, no restocking fee or anything, so what do you have to lose but time.

Id advise you to get the AW14, i haven't looked back.
