    Hi,

I recently was debating between the Alienware 14 and the Lenovo Y510p. I was leaning towards the Lenovo cuz it was on sale for $819, which is pretty cheap (base model). I did however like the Alienware design/look better and I felt it would retain value better over time. I was on Ebay and saw a m14r2 model for around $800 and decided to get it instead.

Here is the spec for it:
    CPU: I7-3630QM •RAM: 8GB•Hard Drive : 500GB 7200 RPM•Operating System: Windows 8•Video Card: 2GB GeForce 650M •Display: High Definition WLED 900p 1600x900 •Optical Drive: Bluray/DVD Burner

Excited to get Rome II running on this!

Congratulations on the new system, but Total War: Rome II may not run that well on it. From what I remember reading, this game is EXTREMELY CPU intensive and even causes lag on those with the latest CPU's (4800MQ). I suppose if you lowered the settings a bunch, that might help...

Anyway, let us know how it is. Make sure to update drivers. ;)

J.Dre is it causing lag on the most extreme settings or like normal? I don't mind if I do like normal settings but it be a huge bummer if I can't run it at all :/

I'll definitely let you guys know

You will totally be able to run Rome II, just not on super epic 3 monitor ultra settings. Your new computer (great buy btw) will be good enough for all intensive purposes, and the overall Rome II experience will be better than Rome I.
