On my laptop, when I unplug the power supply, or plug it in, the screen turns off and on. Has anyone else noticed this happening?

I'm trying to figure out why it does that. I don't have any media player or anything running, so I'm assuming this is happening as the laptop switches the video processor?

It may be switching to 60hz to 40hz Try updating your Intel graphics drivers

It is actually switching between 60hz and 40hz. Dell's version of intel integrated graphic driver does that all the time.

I did upgrade it before, and just set both to 40hz, let's see what happens.

Alright that was it! I just set both to 40hz in the nVidia and Intel control panels.

Great. Id just recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers now. Thatll probably fix it. And make sure youre using them from intels site, not Dells
