Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem with their m14x? A pretty large section of my screen, directly above the alienware logo, flickers pretty frequently. When it does, you can make out a shadow of the affected area and it is quite distracting.

If you're laptop is still under warranty, you should get Alienware to have a look at it.

Screens flickers because of one of three things: The display cable is not sitting properly, the screen is faulty, or the GPU is faulty. A good way to test the display cable and the GPU is to connect the laptop to an external screen. If you see the flickering in the external screen then the GPU is faulty. If you don't see the flickering then either the display cable need re-sitting or the screen is faulty. In this case you need to open up the laptop and check the display cable. If the display cable is okay and it is sitting properly, that would indicate a faulty screen.
