Hey guys, I just got my m14x r2 and its awesome. Just one thing I noticed, the backlight kind of flickers when changing between dark and light windows. Like if I switch from my black background to google's white homepage, it looks like it tries to compensate the brightness. I was just wondering if this is normal and can it be turned off? I already tried disabling the adaptive brightness service. Thanks guys!

Try disable Intel Display Power Savings Technology in the Intel Graphics control panel.
