    It's not an older drive. It may only be SATA2 but SATA3 in itself doesn't make a SSD any better. Real life performance of the Samsung 470 is great. Sequential speeds are lower yes, but random speeds and access times aren't much different than most SATA3 drives. Also, Samsung is one of the top in terms of reliability (much like Intel) and power consumption. I would not advise any OCZ drives since they have a poor reputation and until that fixes itself, I wouldn't give them my money. Check out the SSD subforum for a lot more info since the "best" SSD has been debated long and hard.

    Sorry for the really noob question, but when you install a ssd are you suppose to save everything on that hard drive that you wish to run fast?

    well i have a 120gb agility... i save the os and some applications on it...


    and put all my other data (music/docs/movies ect) on an external

    Do a clean install of Windows and any programs you want on the SSD.
