I was planning on upgrading my stock ram of 6gb up to 8gb. I was doing a lot of searching and I found this:

    Amazon.com: Samsung Electronics Extreme Low Voltage 30nm SODIMM 8 Dual Channel Kit DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM MV-3T4G3D/US: Electronics

The lower amount of voltage appealed to me, and with my Samsung 830 ssd coming in, I think that the two combined would be a good power saver. Unfortunately, I couldn't find if these were tested in the M14x and I was wondering if these would work properly or not. I'm sorta a newbie when it comes to these things so hopefully I can get some opinions.

    Thanks

Every SODIMM RAM with the referring Mhz should work. In your case it makes sense bcs. 4 + 2 GB RAM do not run as dual channel.

Thanks for the replies. So it seems that these would work fine with the M14x r2. I'll probably end up picking these up then. So all I would have to do is pop them in and I'm good to go?
