    ST micro screen detection sensor

    Hi all, first up i would like to say until now i have been lucky and my m14x has been working perfect with no problems.
    Now though i have received an error from the little flag in the corner stating that i have a problem with the ST micro screen detection sensor.
    I have checked in my device manager and it seems to have dissapeared from the device list as well. My laptop was left on my desk overnight but had been shut down and was not on charge or anything and then when i went to fire it up this evening i am receiving this error.
    Does anyone know what is causing this error and what exactly the sensor does. Also is it possible it is a driver that is not compatible with the latest windows update i did?
    Any help would be much appreciated
