i have tested 3 brand of ssd in my New m14x and this is what i got

    Intel 510 = 15 sec

    Force 3 (1) = 14 sec

    Force 3 (2) = 18 sec

    Force 3 (3) = 15 sec

    Force 3 (4) = 14 sec

    Vertex 3 Max IOPS = 21 sec

ALL TEST ARE DONE 10 TIME EACH AND THE RESULT ARE AN AVG OF ALL 10 RUNs

this is normal ? i dont know how can intel 510 out boot Vertex 3 ? this is weird

I remember vertex 3 MI recently released firmware 2.0.6 to solve unusual long booting time. Have you updated the firmware?

I returned the V3MI after 2 replacements, none work with my m14x. Always random freezing during windows installation

How are you counting it? from the second the laptop turns on or from when windows begins to load?

    My M14x "reboots" in 27 seconds :)

Make sure it shows as 111GB and not 107GB before you install win7, if it shows 107GB send it back, there the old 64bit die, had that issue on two of mine, OCZ will also replace for the newer version, which they did for me.

I understand that this helps with the ease of numbers but that program is just bad.... it doesnt give you the time it windows is loaded but the time til windows is responsive... which is give of take 6-10 secs on a SSD.

For example my computer boots in about 16 accounting to that with my M4 but I dont really see it as booted til 24 secs.

uhm... 2GStyle you are missing my point lol

When i use that program i dont count the time when i see window, i counted the time when all my application are loaded, to me, when my application are loaded means my window id done booting

when window start i only have a handful of app that need to run****

ewww... you have to install boot racer for it to work?

I use a VBscript file and it calculates how fat your computer reboots...

No installing any 3rd party programs.

Check it out here... It's pretty nifty

lol same here, use my iphone from time to time...

Are you getting SATA III speeds on your intel 510? like 300MB/s + speeds?

Also, what speeds are you getting with the XT in the optical HD caddy? it's the hybrid drive right?

i was getting 348MB/S avg on the Intel but my V3MIOPS just came in yesterday so i used that in my laptop now and getting around 410ish, the Force 3 was giving me trouble when i use it with the M14x but its working fine with my desktop, but when i used it and run test it was around 450ish -480ish.

i havent check the XT yet but i will in a bit

My vertex 2 boots in 15 seconds. The Vertex 3 should be faster. Did you remove the Intel Rapid Storage Technology? This seems to have a negative effect on performance. Also, disable LPM on the Intel Engine Management Components.
