    Hi,

I have just bought a new mSata SSD Samsung Evo 840 - 480Gb for my Alienware M14xR2.
I have a 500Gb Hard Drive with dual Boot (Win7 / Linux). I want to use it for Data and use the SSD mSata for Data and OS configuration.
For my installation, I have disassembled my hard drive and just put the SSD in the mSata SLOT.
    First Test :
I have installed windows (clean install with DVD). installation is ok, I have no error during the installation but I can't boot on it.
After that, I tried to installe linux in dual boot, it is not working.
I have a "Read Error" after the Bios screen when I boot.
In the BIOS, I see the mSata and I can choose it for primary legacy Boot.
    The ATA operation is "AHCI".

    Second Test :
I have formated the SSD (and recreate a NTFS partition on It) and reinstalled the Hard Drive (with the initial Dual Boot).
I can see the SSD's NTFS partition from the windows or Linux Partition.

    Third Test :
I have bought a mSata to 2'5 SATA adaptator. I installed the SSD in this adaptator and the adaptator instead of the hard drive. I could install Windows, Linux using dual Boot and I can boot when the SSD is in the hard drive SLOT..

So, with this tests I think that my mSata SLOT have a Failure.. But not sure.
Is there something wrong in my tests ?

My Bios is in A13 version.

Thank you very much for your help.
