How come my mouse won't work with the SS usb, is there a setting to change this? I'm a little confused with the distinction btw the SS Usbs and the other.

    Any help is much appreciated.

The SS USB is 'Super Speed USB 3.0'. The other port with the lightning bolt is a PowerShare USB 2.0

If your mouse requires power, you may need to use it in the other port.... I'm not sure. I haven't had any problems w/ my Razer or Nostromo in the SS ports.

I agree with khumprp, if the mouse required power it may require you to use the other one, but in any case you can always try downloading and reinstalling the latest USB 3.0 Drivers. Here's a link to the drivers and downloads web page.
