I've tried a couple of SDHC cards now (one true 32 GB SDHC, one 23 GB microSDHC via an SDHC converter), and neither of those worked on my m14x. No card was detected at all. Have other people been able to get SDHC cards reading properly?

I do have the Realtek PCIE CardReader driver installed (6.1.7600.75) and re-installed, so that shouldn't be the problem.

Are you sure the card's been pushed in the whole way? From what I remember, it should click into place, requiring you to push on it again to get it to pop out.

Do the SD cards function in other computers?

Yup. Clicks into place. And, yeah, pushing it in again gets a second click with it popping out.

Yup, one of them serves as a "poor man's second HDD" in my Fujitsu U820, and the other one serves as my SD card for my Motorola Atrix (reads just fine in that and on my m14x via an external USB microSD card reader).

Check Windows update to see you have all the latest updates. I saw there was one update to addressed SDHC cards

Everything's updated to be current. The fact that other people don't seem to be seeing the problem is worrisome, though.... :(

I can second this issue. I have a Patriot LX 16GB Class 10 SDHC card and when I insert it, there is absolutely no reaction from the laptop.

Sandisk Ultra II Class 4 8GB SDHC worker perfectly fine. Just transfered new bios and igp+chipset drivers using the sd card. No system sound at all, but it popped up immediately.

You may want to reinstall drivers or reinstall windows in the worst case

Mine works: SDHC Kingston 32gb (from China, so I doubt it's really from Kingston, especially for the price :p).

Works after a fresh install using the card reader drivers on the Resource Disk.

I re-installed windows 7 (for a different reason though) and re-installed the reader drivers. It works with my SDHC Lexar 4GB Class 2 but not with my Patriot 16GB Class 10, which is my good card and the one I NEED.
