i accidently droped my laptop (the fall was about 1.5 feet) it landed on the side with the 2.0 USB port with a Logitech G series USB thingy connected to it

later the ni got home trying to turn on the computer and everything was fine untill i notice my mouse is not working so i took it out and test the USB port with a flask drive and BAMMM my computer shuts down :(

i look closely at the USB port and found out that the black plastic inside the port was broken and sticked to my logitech USB thingy

anyone have an idea of how i can fix it ?

It is possible to fix that, you could get a new motherboard.

Or better yet, get out your soldering iron, take that broken usb port off the motherboard and solder on a new one. Any repair shop could do that for you.

But I would still maybe consider calling dell and trying to get them to fix it for free.
