Hi there. I've got an Alienware M14x R2, just replaced the keyboard as the left side was not lighting up. Now I have another problem with the new keyboard - whenever I boot up (Windows 8), it seems as if the "S" key is being pressed down as it launched immediately into app search and the letter "S" is typed down indefinitely. If I press backspace, it stops being typed, but when I try pressing the "S" key again, it doesn't work at all, not even on Chrome, Word, Notepad, etc. If the key is being registered at the start only, what can the problem be? Thanks

Edit - the key is not physically stuck

I suspect a bad keyboard I'm afraid. I dont think its something that can be repaired. Perhaps try re-seating the keyboard cable.

Try reseatting the keyboard and cables. If that does not work you may want to change the keyboard.
