I heard this is another post, that running a BIOS that allows you to reach SATA 3 speeds with an SSD causes the GT555M to become undetectable. Is this true for everyone? I've heard about all the problems that you ecounter just trying to get SATA 3 to run normally. And now this?

Does this mean I can't use my GPU?

    Sigh..

That's a bogus statement. I run at SATA III speeds and use my gpu.

Not with BIOS A08 you don't. Those of us with M14x's bought within the last few weeks are locked at SATA II speeds or we loose the GPU

So you going back to a stable bios that we've been using forever causes your GPU to disappear? Sounds like dell really screwed up there if that indeed is the case.

No, I've heard about people saying they got their's to work at SATA 3 speeds, and their games ran fine. (Which means their GPu must be working) And then I just recently (As of this week) Heard people are losing their GPU's when they revert BIOS's. I have BIOS AO3, and I'm going to be installing an SSD. After hanging around for 2 weeks I'd never read of the problem. Maybe its just the new systems that have this...I was asking if anyone (With a proper working SSD, has this as a problem) Because no one else reported it

Yeah I read your post. But I wanted to see if it was specific to you. Like a chance you could/could not get it sort of thing. So I want to see other people who have had them for a long time and reported no such problems yet confirm or unconfirm
