I must be missing something because at high settings I am running anywhere from 13fps to 24fps, and on medium I am still running anywhere from 19fps to 30fps (using the Rift FPS meter by the way, not sure how accurate it is. Is this expected to be running these sorts of frames on even low settings?? What are some things I can do in game to increase performance? BTW this is with the GPU at 750/1500/1080. I have seen videos on youtube where on high they are getting 45fps easy (not to mention this was without an HD, I have an SSD so it should be even better)

Apparently it isnt a hardware issue or software. The game itself needs a lot of help as there are people complaining of FPS issues even with high end gaming desktops. I am dissapointed because the game itself is pretty awesome...looks like I am either going back to eq2 or looking for another mmorpg...any suggestions??

Another problem is that there is no rift alternative...besides wow and its way to cartoony for me.

well... both my tower (2 year old build high end) and my laptop run it at 12-45FPS.... the same thing happened with wow back in the day..

the game is runnable but I know where your coming from... Im kinda MMORPG'ed out ATM but RIFT was def the best.

why not just tweak your settings to have it stable 45FPS.... like a high medium

Its not looking good for rift though, there are so many threads on fps issues, its a shame I hope they fix it because otherwise a great game is going down the drain, but yea I will try medium and tweak the settings, but what settings should I tweak

You sure its running on the GT555M and not the integrated graphics? Wonder if its another Optimus problem...

Or you might have AA on, consider turning it off if that's the problem. Then again, if you're getting good frames in other games, there's something wrong with the game itself so there's nothing to worry about your laptop's hardware :)

I've seen several of those videos, and after digging, they are using the standard 720p screen. Playing at 900p would be far more taxing on the ol' 555m.

Defining what your native resolution is would help the OP! 720p is far less demanding than 900p.

even at 720p you get maybe a 5-8fps boost. and AA is off and I am pretty sure its running on GT555M, is there a way to make sure?

Vindictus? It's not your usual MMO, Havent played it in forever but it's free could play it until RIFT fps issues are fixed (This why i was getting 20-20fps on my laptop too?)
