So I decided to do the same with my m14x as I did with my m11x last night, repaste the cpu and gpu. Wow, dell is pretty awful at applying thermal contact solutions :/ Anyway, I also modded the fan by cutting open spaces in the fan housing between where the two little notched clip. This would push more air around in the case. I also removed the ram cover, (an inspiration I got from an earlier topic) but I had considered how useless it was. Now I am getting minor air flow exhaust on the right opening.

Well I idled somewhere around 40 degrees in high performance idle, (cpu was clocked at about 1500 mhz), and I kicked up prime 95 and furmark at the same time. With stock gpu clocked and turbo one, I got averaged, 86-88 degrees on the cpu, (2720qm), and 73-75 degrees on the gpu, and I used HWinfo 64 bit to put my fan speed at about 50%.

All in all I think that is pretty impressive, it is using the same fan while it is all pretty much one heat sink. Considering this is stress testing, I think gaming should be super cool now, and I did not use a cooler for any of these.
