Anyone have trouble with the bluetooth/Orochi where it drops connectivity after awhile?

Mine has the centrino Intel bluetooth. Anyone have any tips or fixes?

I dont' want to go wired, or use another bluetooth dongle.

    LOVING the machine so far!

Did you goto the manufacturer's website itself not dells driver website and update the bluetooth driver? goto the device manager settings and check if there's like a power saving mode and try disabling that.

Hope this helps and solves your problems

When you say drops connectivity are you talking about during use, or just delay in waking up after no use for a period of time? If it's the later, then it's working as designed (the orochi like most BT devices will go into a power save mode if not used). I have the same setup (same Centrino Wifi/BT card & the Orochi) and have not had any issues with it.

It's dropping after about 5-10 minutes during use like in the middle of Alan Wake or something. I've used it for a long time with other computers, no issue. I think it's the BT Stack on the M14X R2. I'm going to try to get the latest centrino bluetooth driver from Intel and see if that helps, if not I have a spare dongle... that's not as convenient though.

Haven't had issue all day... also did update the wireless driver from intel, but that seemed to only do the wifi... oh well :)

If it happens again, try checking and updating the firmware on your Razer Orochi. You can go to razersupport.com site and download the latest firmware there. I read that the new firmware addresses the sleep mode settings issue of the mouse.
