This morning I did a fresh Win 7 install from the Alienware disc included with my M14X and followed the guide listed here -

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...er-install-order-guide-alienware-systems.html

With the exception of installing the Intel Management Engine Interface or the Intel RST. (My M4 SSD is now running at SATA III) :)

In my device manager I have one of those pesky exclamation points next to Other devices - "Simple PCI Communications Controller"

I suspect is due to not installing the Intel Management Engine Interface or the Intel RST? Does anyone know if this is correct?

    Thanks in advance

Got it. Reinstalled Intel Management Engine Interface only ;-)
