Basically as the title says, will there be a noticeable performance difference when running two 1920x1080 monitors off the laptop?
the lid will be closed I essentially plan on treating the laptop like a mini desktop and having keyboard and a mouse running from the laptop to the centre of the desk.
    My M14x's specs are

    i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz
    GTX 555m 3gb
    and 8gb of installed Ram

I have a single 1080p monitor running on my M14x R1. Works well for normal tasks and makes it for gaming at medium to high settings. You should be fine with 2 monitors for normal tasks but not for gaming even at the lowest settings

This is true, the computer would not perform pretty well on gaming with this setup.
