I have heard that it is not good to keep plug in when the battery is fully charged. So on my old laptop I usually take off the battery when plug in

However, with my new M14X, I can't take off the battery. My question is, is it ok to keep plug in when the battery is fully charged and would that affect the battery life in the future?

Not going to make a big difference either way. Batteries die over time whether they are used or not, charged or not charged.

Also if I am not mistaken, not 100% on this mind you, I believe that the M14x works like most other Dell laptops and the laptop stops "charging" the battery once it is at max. This is why Dell computers use set AC adapters and will warn you on boot up if something is wrong.

Yep you will have to take out the(I believe 2 , but don't take my word for it) screws on the bottom and remove the bottom plate to get to the battery. Simple enough, and there's a few videos on youtube showing this on the m14x. Although the battery should still last you awhile, so I wouldn't worry about it

i think its something like 300 recharge cycles. will last you a while if you're going to keep it plugged in.
