    Hi,
So I have been trying to get an external monitor running with my laptop. I'm using an HDMI cable to connect to the monitor. My problem though is that there is no image displayed at all. The computer recognizes that the monitor is plugged in, as you can see specific name of the monitor in the NVIDIA control panel. It is also possible to move the cursor to the monitor, but again there is no image shown. The drivers are all updated and I have no idea this would be. The monitor is a Dell ST3210 and I tested it with my desktop and it worked fine. If anyone had any ideas that would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Based on your description that you can move the cursor to the external monitor, I would have to say that your external monitor is set up as an 'Extended Desktop' and not a 'Mirror' display. Can you try dragging a window from your laptop screen to the external monitor?

Yes I can drag windows to the monitor. I've tried to change almost every setting possible in the NVIDIA control panel for multiple displays but none have resulted in an image

I think there is something strange going on with the HDMI now that the Intel Graphics chip also supports HDMI in the R2. I had some issues getting available TV resolutions to my projector not showing up. I ended up using a Mini DP to HDMI adapter and my TV resolutions finally showed up. using the HDMI I could only get to 1280x800, but through the DP-HDMI adapter I can do 1080p. hope that helps!

I am using HDMI right now, and mirrored works with Windows+P.
