    Hey all

    Seriously considering buying the M14X.

However, I really want an SSD and I was wondering whether I choose to get built to order or do I buy one later and install myself? Is that possible/easy?

Any other definite upgrades I should make to it before buying?

    Yes, possible and easy.

The only upgrades I would do from Dell are the screen, the NIC, and the bluetooth.

I was already thinking about the screen and the Bluetooth.

What benefits would the NIC give me? Just stream to a wireless display and the like?

If you're cool with getting robbed, I'd upgrade the SSD while configuring. I, of course, am not, so I went with a much more reasonably priced SSD :)

I think he is talking about the wireless card, not the wireless HD.
    So from the Intel® Wireless-N WiFi Link 1000 a/g/n 1x2 to the Intel® Advanced-N WiFi Link 6250 a/g/n 2x2 MIMO Technology with WiMax

Well I went with the 6205 since I don't need Wimax, but yeah. It can get you better signal strength and connection speeds, and is only $25 more.
