I recently purchased Spec Ops: The Line from the Steam Summer Sale, and have been very disappointed. I well exceed the recommended specs for this game using my m14x R1, and was shocked to see it running poorly.

When I first started the game it was on the lowest graphics on 800x600 resoultion, so naturally I didn't see any stutter. But when I turned up the resolution to the native 1600x900, even at the lowest settings, I'm getting approximately 15 frames per second.

Maybe the game isn't detecting my graphics card and running off of the integrated graphics? That would explain it. However, since the game runs through Steam I can't just right click it and say "Run With Dedicated Graphics." As such, I'm at a bit of a loss. What do I do?

Try following this article for the game to be able to run on the nVidia GPU.

Actually, if you go to the Nvidia control panel, you can add your own .exe/programs to it. Go to the steam directory where it was installed and find the .exe in "common" or "steamapps". Then change gpu settings to discrete/dedicated/highperformancenvidia.

yep just whitelist it, i have the game running smooth all maxed out, also on m14x r1, and i will say fantastic game, but, if youre playing the single player you are in for a very intense ride in my opinion
