A HDMI cable is what you need (if your TV supports HDMI)

You'll need either a VGA cable or a HDMI cable to connect to you M14x, and remember the higher the resolution you play, the laggier it will be, so for example, when I test BF3 on my 32" HDTV, when I use the 1080p resolution, I'll lower the setting down to low to get a decent 40-45 fps, but when I lower to 720p with low setting and able to get around 50-60 fps. (Operation Metro CQL 64player only)

If possible Overclock the GPU will also help increase the fps, but overclock the GPU will also increase heat and reduce its lifetime (depending on how high you OC).

What vga and/or hdmi cable would be good for playing games from the m14x to the tv?

give me the name of it and if you can find one for sell on ebay I would like that too

I would like lag free playing and also I have the red, yellow and white plugs on my tv and also S-video and hdmi plugs on my cable box

If you're not going to use a cable longer than 3-4 meters, a generic HDMi cable will do just fine.

As the distance between media device and display increases, signal quality decreases and the more susceptible the signal becomes to magnetic interference, it is only then you should be concerned about insulation to protect against signal degradation.

Here's one i found one amazon:
