I am having a hard time deciding on whether or not to upgrade the screen. My main concerns with upgrading are how small stuff may be. My current primary monitor is a 1680x1050 20". I am concerned that a 6 inch smaller screen with a only slightly lower resolution might make things like text when browsing and menu options in RTS and RPG games tiny. I realize I could run it at 1366x768 but I have heard running at non native resolution does not look as good as running native.

Any advice or thoughts? Also, my other concern is the glossyness. Any comments on that being/not being a problem would be great.

i strongly recommend the upgrade, apparently the base screen has got very little brightness so the upgrade is very important if you want a nice bright high quality screen

Brightness is important because now that screens are glossy the higher your brightness on the screen the less glare/reflection you get.

Also don't worry about things being to small you can always decease resolution on windows so things like icons and so on get bigger

    Hope this helps

If small text is your concern, you can raise Windows' DPI setting. Basically it makes everything bigger, but you still get the crispness of the higher resolution. My primary display is a 24" 1920x1200 monitor running at 120 DPI for instance.

Is that system improved in Windows 7? On my Vista PC it causes alignment issues and other things...
