    Hi,

I have been using MSI Afterburner to OC my 650M. At the moment I have +135 Core Clock and +200 Memory Clock. It scored 2504 Furmark - 1920x1080 60 second test. I was wondering what the optimal overclock settings are? How much further can I push the Memory Clock? And is +135 the highest I can OC the core clock? (It's at max on slider).

Also, I read something about disabling turbo boost in the BIOS helps performance? If so how would I do that?

On a side note, how would I go about playing a game across two monitors? I have one connected through HDMI and one VGA. I tried to use my laptop screen as a third but I can't enable it. On the Nvidia control panel it says the Intel 3000 graphics card can only handle 2 displays, but is there a way to use the 650M for one display and the Intel for two others?

    Specs:

    Alienware M14x
    i7 3610QM
    GeForce GT 650M - 2Gb
    8Gb RAM
750GB 7200RPM Hard Drive with 32Gb mSata SSD

    Thanks in advance, Will.

Overclocking has no standard limit, it's a trial an error process. Just be sure to keep an eye on your GPU temperature and little by little find the highest stable clock for your card.

I believe disabling the turbo boost may actually decrease your performance. To do this, turn on your computer and press [F2] at the Alienware logo screen. It should be under the advanced tab.

Unfortunately it will only support 2 displays total, a third display will be disabled.

Ok, thanks alot. Do you know how I would go about playing a game across the two monitors. Do I need to plug one display into the other and that one into the laptop. Also, if I used a VGA and a mini display port, could I activate all three then? Thanks

The problem is not the amount of ports, it's the video card that limits the amount of monitors.

About connecting the two monitors, you need to use any 2 different connections available.

I could not enable 3 displays using laptop screen, vga and hdmi.

It works though using laptop screen, mini displayport and hdmi.

Which should be considered an optimal temp for an overclocked GPU? Without OC I get temps around 65°

Hi, i'm not clearly understand the explanation.

Here is my situation, i want to connect 2 monitor using vga and hdmi, can it be done ?
My laptop will be primary display, others 2 monitor will be extended monitor.

    I'm using m14x-r2.
    tq ;)

No, it can't be done using vga and hdmi. And I'm also using R2. For some reason, I don't know why 1 of the external monitors can't be enabled using vga and hdmi.

If you want to use your laptop as primary display and 2 monitors for extended display, use mini displayport and hdmi.
