Hey all, I will be placing my order over the phone tonight. I will be getting the i7 2630, 6 gb of ram, 1.5 gb Nvidia gpu, 750 gb hard drive, upgraded screen, upgraded wireless card, upgraded sound, Bluetooth, 3 year advanced warranty along with the free xbox 360 for students for about $1700.

    Is this a good deal?

no call up and negotiate the rep i got took off an extra 200$ on top of the discount i had, retail price 1,618$ i got it for 1,326$.

*** Also i would ditch the 750gb hd 500gb is more than enough, and i would then upgrade to 8gb ram. Ram is your friend! And the hdd can easily be replaced with an a 750gb if u really find down the road u need the extra 250gb, my desktop is bloated with vista and all sorts of crap and im only floating around 240gb out of 750. Also if ur big on speed might wanna look into replacing hdd with an ssd, and using the stock hdd as a secondary storage.

And I may just ditch the 750gb and switch to 500gb as well as drop to 4th of ram and just buy the 8gb set off of crucial and install it myself.

    No no, NEVER order online.

Shoot me a PM and I'll give you my reps info since I can't post it publicly.

You'll save a good chunk of money. He just takes 2 days~ (e-mail) to get back to people since he's very popular unless you can get him between calls :)

That doesn't sound too bad, the 3 year is a good idea IMO, and the free Xbox 360 is worth $200 by itself.

I'd call again and go into it being aggressive, and laying out the specs you want, the price you're willing to pay, and stating if they can't come close to that you'll go elsewhere and see what it gets you. Never be afraid to talk to another sales person until you get what you want!

Yeah likewise. I just did the basic shipping and mine should be here around the 25th as well. I'd call and see what's up. Btw, you didn't order online did you?

My guess is different customizations will take different times to build. My first m14x was scheduled to deliver about two weeks after I ordered mine, but it actually shipped a week later, something like that. Their estimates are lame.
