I realized that my order was done with Windows 7. I thought all new laptops came with Windows 8. Is there any way to switch it to Windows 8? I can't cancel the order it will be here tomorrow.

I would like security from things on the new operating system. Would there be any pros or cons to running Windows 7 or Windows 8 on the m14x?

I see that, but is there any way to get Windows 8 on my laptop for free at this point? Or am I going to be stuck with an old outdated operating system on a brand new computer that comes now? the price of the upgrade looks to be 200 dollars?

I definitely would like Windows 8 on it

Windows 7 is still good, I believe Windows 8 still needs some developing. Anyway, I don't think there is any free way of getting it. You will need to get the license for that.
