I believe the optical drive is only a 1.5gbps so a 6gbps drive is really going to be a bit of a waste. Plus you are not going to want to install your OS on your secondary drive...

I would put the OCZ you mention in the primary drive and then move your mechanical drive to the secondary slot.

    Alright
sorry thats what I was planning to do, forgot to mention it.
I meant that i would put the ssd in the hd bay, and the 500gb hd in the optical.
    anyway...any experience>?

My experience: Right after format of my 120Gig drive I had 111Gigs available.

Your 60 Gigs is enough. I mean would be enough for me.

    I use 47 Gigs (Win7SP1+COD MW3+BF3+Dark Horizon+all other applications I need). Now I have 64 Gigs free.

Dude I'm having same if not similar problem with Vertex 3 as well. During the installation of windows 7 is fine, but after I installed windows 7 the restart for the first use took forever to load and during this time the fan was going berserk. So I decided to turn the power off and load it again. Same problem, then again this time it took a shorter time to load and I got in windows. However, the next restart after I installed a driver the same problem happened again, and I can never get back in windows now, always stuck.

Should I contact OCZ about this problem? Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks
