    Hello all!

I FINALLY received my M14x earlier today, and have been loving it so far.

However, just recently I started up a pretty low graphics intensive game (Poker Night at the Inventory, yeah I know).

It ran really horribly slow, and I was thoroughly confused, after running a few tests I went over to Can You RUN It | Can I run that game | Game system requirements (Can I run it?) to check some stuff and found that my laptop was using the integrated Intel card rather than the 555M.

Forgive me if this is a newbish question, but is there something I must do on a fresh system to activate the stronger card? Am I having a driver issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    EDIT:

I'm in the process of installing the newest driver from Nvidia's site, will update if there are changes.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the info! I have the Nvidia CP open, but unfortunatly I don't see an 'add' option anywhere,.

The three panels listed on the left are 1. 3D Settings, 2. Display, 3. Video,

Any idea if it is listed under one of those?

It seem like you have your problem solve but I just want to add some more stuff regarding the " Can You Run It", the reason behind it being shown that you were running the Intel iGP instead of the GT555M is Because of it Did Not scan for any other card, because all it doing is it just scan for any graphic card that the display is on which is the Intel iGP, while the GT555M is a dedicated card only to run the app that you set in the NVIDIA control panel.

So that " Can You Run It" is useless because it does not scan for any other card rather than the primary display card which is being that Intel iGP, and there's nothing you can do about it, unless you can disable that Intel iGP.

Hello. I have a similar problem. I'm trying to run 3d mark 06 and FurMark, but both runs with Intergrated GPU even if I set them in 3D setting to be started with M555...any ideas?

Hmm now when I'm looking to it, it seems that its running through nvidia as framerate is quite good, but its still telling me in 3dmark info integrated gpu. Confusing!
