So I've noticed that whenever my m14x's fans kick on, the left one seems to be doing all the work. I can't hear any sound or feel any air even coming from the right one. Is there really a way to check this?

My temps don't seem to far fetched, about what others post around on here. On several instances, even better. But I thought I would ask.

There is no fan in the right, there is only one fan on the laptop which obviously the left one. The one on the right hold 2 slots of RAM. You can access the RAM slot by unscrew the two screw at the back of the laptop then push the panel backward to remove the panel.

CGSDR is right. The M14x only has one fan, and it's in the left back. Go ahead and look at the back of the laptop where you plug the power cable in, only the side with the fan has an opening for air flow.
