So I dropped a small glass of wine into my M14x a couple of days ago. Pulled the AC wire, powered it off, and soaked up as much wine as I could. I disassembled the laptop and cleaned the keyboard with distilled water on a rag. It was the only place I could see the wine. Let it dry for 2 days and put it back together. On power up, it will continuously beep, no sequence of 5 or 7, etc. just straight beeps. The laptop still loads to Windows and even after 3 hours of 3dmark, had no other problems. Except I had to disable the Realtek in the bios to stop the beeping. And have no sound because of it. Is there any way to just disable the diagnostic beeps?

Did you try looking for the option in the BIOS? You could also use an external USB audio card.

Only BIOS option for the sound card I could find was to completely disable the entire card. I didn't know there were external USB cards. Think I'll pick one up.
