So I'm trying to install MSATA SSD and for the life of me I can't do it. Everything is installed fine, it's shows up in my 'main' bios menu. But when I hit f12 for boot options I do not see 'boot from cd/dvd' any place. Al there is is under UIEF is 3 options 2 LAN and the main WD 750gb HDD. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong and it's really pissing me off :)

I've changed it from RAID to ACHI too, but nothing.

Update: Got it to show after having Legacy mode and the other mode on. But now when i try and boot from DVD it tells me no boot device found, check cables. My dvd works fine because I used it after to see if it was disconnected but it still reads DVD and auto loads them.

Loaded up some games like Dragon age off of a DVD and it works fine?

Is it an actual windows DVD or a resource cd?

    Resource DVD

I have a Windows 7 DVD from my other system I could use to check.

Yeah, the resource DVD is not bootable. it is only the drivers and utilities. I think most Windows 8 machines are not coming with the disc and you have to contact one of the reps here from AW or call them ands they will send out a USB thumb drive with windows 8 or a dvd with windows 8. I got mine with windows 7 and it came with the dvd. Not sure why they don't automatically include the window 8 media like they do 7.

Cool, I'll give my win 7 DVD a try and see if that's the problem.

That should be the problem, you can also try creating a bootable USB.
