Hi There, My ASUS G50VT has done me proud for the last 3-4years and now is getting a bit long in the tooth and also overheats badly despite a full cleanup. I found a way to get 25% off Dell through codes etc and put in my Order for an M14x.

I am interested in this HSDPA upgrade I see others talking about to get the sim slot to work, I have a Sperate Three Sim that I use for mobile broadband that isn't doing anything atm and is paid for by my company so I might as well integrate it into my laptop (I hate dongles) and Mifi seems pricey for something i won't use fully.

So I'm seeing a lot of people link to an m11x thread from singapore gamers blog that doesn't exist anymore, Is there any other copy of this.

Where is the PCI-E slot located and is it easy to access?

Is this just a case of buying a 5520 card off ebay and installing it?

Also what kind of antennas do I need for it, if someone could chuck a link my way for some I would be most appriciative.

I hope this is the start of a beautiful relationship :D

you will struggle as you won't have the aerials installed. you best option is to go via ebay and order a us model with the card built in. I did this with my M11X. I ordered from hidevolution a US machine with HSDPA card built in. You need the AT&T version and NOT the Verizon version.
